We sat down with DESIGNER LIHI HOD FOR A SNEaK PEEK OF HER NEW COLLECTION THAT SHE WILL BE DEBUTING DURING NYLBFW.
1) CAN YOU SHARE YOUR INSPIRATION OR INFLUENCES YOU WILL BE WORKING ON FOR THE UPCOMING APRIL MARKET?
When designing wedding dresses, I draw from both tradition and modern influences—but above all, I design from the heart. This collection was born out of pure passion, with a focus on exceptional fabrics, rare embroidery techniques, and distinctive silhouettes. Every gown is crafted with care—think intricate lacework, hand-finished details, and a soft interplay of silk, tulle, and delicate embellishments. It’s about creating something truly meaningful and one-of-a-kind.
2) WHAT WILL YOU BE OFFERING NEW FOR MARKET (FABRICS, SILHOUETTES)?
This season, I’m continuing with the flattering drop waist and inner corset silhouette—clean, sexy necklines, long torsos, and timeless elegance. But what I’m most excited about is a new technique we developed: setting raw pearls directly into tulle. One gown alone features 20,000 real pearls, telling a story inspired by the depths of the ocean. As always, I use only the finest materials—hand-dyed silk satin, silk mikado, and raw silk—for a look and feel that’s both luxurious and unforgettable.
