RUNWAY
BRIDAL Spring 2020
Big news for the Spring/Summer 2020 bridal season: “The Gown” has lost weight! The sensation was effortless ease, overall airiness and lightness, nothing forced or heavy.
Some looks took cues from ready-to-wear with more focus on the dramatic long statement veil. Sheer capes and capelets were spotted everywhere, some attached as trains.
Top looks ranged from separates with the ability to peel away from removable overskirts to slim gowns party mini dresses or rompers.
Accents included sheer, short ruffled gloves and long embellished styles. Minimal modern shapes remained strong along with all-over delicate sparkle.
Victorian details offered portrait necklines draped off the shoulder, long sleeves, ruffles and bows, both large and small. Other key runway moments highlighted jumpsuits with trains, pant suits, mini-feather dresses and pleated tulle.
