In 1942, The Temple House, once an orthodox synagogue was expanded through the efforts of architect Lester Avery. The Temple House expanded its facility to 16,350-foot (4,980 m) to accommodate the 1,000 member Orthodox members under the name Knesseth Israel. One of the most prominent and prolific Art Deco architects, Dixon (1901-1949) was responsible for designing such important properties as The Tides, The Victor, The Raleigh, The Marlins, The Regent, The Tudor, The Senator and The Ritz Plaza Hotels.
In early 2003, Dan Davidson bought the property and began an extensive renovation in which all architectural features of the building were preserved. It is now the largest single family residence in Miami's South Beach, and one of the most sought of venues in South Florida.
After years of requests to do events, he renovated the space into a full service event venue, which is now The Temple House. Fast forward to 2018, Dan has left his mark in the luxury venue global space, and now operates one of the most celebrated private event venues in The United States.
