Sassi, thank you so much for joining us today. Your label has been a cornerstone of luxury bridal fashion for over four decades now. What can we expect from your Fall 2025 Bridal Collection?
It’s wonderful to be here, thank you. For the Fall 2025 collection, I wanted to create gowns that embrace both timeless elegance and contemporary sophistication. Expect cutting silhouettes, luxurious Italian fabrics, and beautifully intricate detailing. Necklines dance between modest yet seductive and the lineage of British fashion is taken into the 21st century. This collection celebrates individuality, so we’ve designed gowns that allow brides to express their personality while feeling comfortable and effortlessly chic.
You’re known for your impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail. Can you tell us a bit about the process of creating a Sassi Holford gown, and how your team plays a role in that?
Every gown is handmade here in England, and I’m fortunate to have an incredible team by my side. Many of them have been with me for over a decade—Tina, my Head Seamstress, has been working with me for over 30 years. The process is truly a collaboration; it begins with sketching out the initial designs and selecting the finest fabrics, then moves through several stages of pattern making, cutting, and sewing. Each team member brings their own expertise, and together we work to create something truly special for each bride. The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is what sets our gowns apart.
Your brand has such a rich history, but it’s also very forward-thinking. How do you manage to stay ahead in an industry that’s constantly changing?
It’s important to stay connected to both the past and the future. I’m inspired by classic design principles, but I’m also always listening to what modern brides want. I spend a lot of time with our clients, understanding their needs and desires, and that really shapes the direction of our collections. At the same time, I believe in innovation—whether it’s incorporating sustainable practices, exploring new fabrics, or adapting to the digital age. Ultimately, it’s about evolving while staying true to the core values of the brand.
Speaking of sustainability, can you share how your brand approaches this growing movement within fashion?
Sustainability is something we’re very passionate about. We’ve always focused on creating high-quality pieces that stand the test of time, which is inherently sustainable. Additionally, because all our gowns are handcrafted here in England, we have complete control over the production process, ensuring minimal waste. We also work with suppliers who share our commitment to ethical and sustainable practices. Brides today care deeply about the story behind their gown, and we’re proud to offer something that aligns with those values.
