Fall Winter 2025 Bridal Trends

F/W 2025 Bridal Trends: there are some exciting developments on the horizon.

Here are some key highlights —Rachel Leonard

Gauntlets: This season, we saw Gauntlet sleeve gowns as a standout trend. HONOR’s gauntlet sleeve gown was a otherworldly. Other designers such as Yumi Katsura and Yuliia Lobachova took a lace inspired twist on gauntlet sleeves in their collections, while Lihi Hod’s take on the trend was chic and modern.

filtered light: A focus on the interplay between light and fabrics was on trend this NYLBFW, particularly with transparent fabrics for beach weddings, creating dreamy, luminous effects. Designers Dana Harel, Galia Lahav, and Rivini all played with light and lace in their collections, while Sassi Holdford incorporated the trend into the sleeves of a dress.

PERIOD LACE: Influences from fashion of the past were present in many period-inspired lace gowns this F/W season. Peter Langner and Galia Lahav both designed high-neck lace looks, while Anne Barge and Sassi Holford used lace in designs with a chic and structured influence.

Empowered goddesses: Strong, feminine looks are back, embracing confidence with ethereal looks from Ese Azenabor. Other designers including Hera Couture, Ines Di Santo, and Justin Alexander Signature all paid homage to the Goddess trend through silhouettes and fabric as well.

Caged minis: This whimsical trend was brought to the runway this season by designers like Isabell Kristensen and her line of “Teacup” minis. Other designers also participated in this trend with their collections, such as Francesca Miranda’s lace look, Idan Cohen’s pearl-studded dress, and Honor’s unconventional tulip-style gown.

Toppers: Accessories like shrugs and long scarf stoles, such as those from Nadia Manjarrez, are becoming a category of their own, offering versatility and warmth for different wedding events. Unique and structured toppers in this category were also showcased by designers including Nardos and Ines Di Santo, while a more dramatic option was unveiled by Jaclyn Whyte.

After-party: The after-party look is either bold and glitzy with disco paillettes from Naeem Khan, or minimal and chic, with bra tops and pants from Dana Harel. This season, mini’s were popular for after-party looks as well, with designers Badgley Mischka and Claire Pettibone showcasing these gowns.

Tea LENGth: There’s a balance between playful and practical with the re-emergence of shorter dresses, like with the tea length gown. These are perfect for various wedding-related events and more wearable than traditional gowns. Anne Barge, Ines Di Santo, Jaclyn Whyte, and Naeem Khan all presented functional looks for the fun bride looking to shine in a tea length gown.

STRUCTURED TAILORING: A clean, tailored look was popular this season, such as with SAREH NOURI’S pea coat influences or in Mark Ingram’s structured folds. Structured tailoring also made an appearance in the bodices of gowns with designs from Francesca Miranda and Sareh NourI AGAIN.
