1) Describe the vision of the Berta brand.
Every season when envisioning the new collection, the first thought that comes to mind is how we can experiment with new luxury fabrics and use them to reinvent and set the trend for the season to come, while keeping our vision of creating figure hugging designs to make each of our brides feel as if they are on top of the world. Our vision and purpose is making each bride her very own spotlight.
2) What is the overall theme for Spring 2023 bridal?
In three words, attention to details. While exploring the fundamental need of breathing, we kept thinking of how it is that no one is being taught how to breath. Over the course of our lives, this is the one habit that we are all used to taking for granted. This drew us to creating something that states craftsmanship while it naturally flows and complements the female body; something screaming delicacy, nature and romance as if it was a part of the female body, when in fact it is so complex that only the most trained and experienced persons that have mastered the art as if it’s their own breath, will be able to make this collection a reality.
3) How do you decide on the different looks to design for bridal collections; Berta, Muse by Berta, and Berta Privee?
Each and every line has it’s own unique identity. When designing for Berta, we’ll think luxury fabrics, beadings, 3D hand made appliqués, A-lines and big trains. Privee will usually have more fitted mermaid gowns, sheer, romantic and bold. Muse by Berta, while featuring the same high quality fabrics, they will all be used to create a more flowy, relaxed and soft styles with less corsets and more layers of tulle.
4) Is there a certain type of customer drawn to each line?
The Berta Couture line is for a bride that seeks glam and history…full of Swarovski beadings, pearls, flowers and volume. Privee is made for the bride who loves to accentuate just the right curves and put herself in the absolute center. Muse is meant for the boho bride that loves to twirl in her dresses and feels unstoppable when she is most comfortable.
