WORLD BRIDE MAGAZINE AND WEDDING DISTRICT COLLABORATE AT BRIDAL FASHION WEEK

On October 2, in celebration of New York Bridal Fashion Week, World Bride Magazine and the France-based Wedding District collaborated to create a bond between the French and American cultures.

It was a shared French background that brought the two allies together. Myrdith Leon-McCormack of World Bride Magazine has Haitian roots and for 17 years has used World Bride Magazine as her vocal piece to promote diversity. Her desire to build bridges between cultures and support women in business was echoed by the passion behind the Wedding District’s founders, Florence Croizer and Amandine Taravellier.

The two-part event, beginning with a conference, allowed French delegates to converse and engage with American industry experts to see how both parties can provide the level of excellence that couples are looking for in this day and age of bridal. Participating panelists included Ron Ben Israel, Claudia Hanlin and Ayesha Bibi among many other industry experts.

Following the conference, the day was capped with a gala from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. to celebrate a week of bridal fashion shows at the New York Bridal Fashion Week. During the evening, a fashion segment showcased four French designers who traveled from France to show their work: Atelier 2BGisèle et SimoneMaison de couture Aurélie Mey, and Jessica Martin .
