Meet GRACY ACCAD

Gracy Accad is a fashion alchemist who blends simplicity, chicness and modern romance. Her collections bring to mind the elegance of haute couture with a downtown edge, using only the finest fabrications and sewing techniques. In four short years, this native New Yorker built a following among millennial women who come to her New York City atelier for handmade designs with modern sensibility.

RL: Describe the focus of your collection.
GA: Both my bridal and evening wear collections build on a classic style embellished with exquisite European fabrics and ornamentation. I love to include a little sparkle and to incorporate trends in a unique and modest fashion.  I want women to appreciate the stunning movements of the dresses. I spent the last 4 years designing evening wear and wedding dresses for private clients and friends. Word spread via social media and I began designing for an elite international clientele.

I listened to each woman for their cues on what made them feel extraordinary and incorporated their feedback into fresh designs.  I am very particular over the details and the fit of the garment which allows for anyone of any size and age to wear my dresses. It’s very exciting to be among today's emerging talent and to show the world that a young designer can bring her new brand vision to life.

RL: What is your inspiration for this upcoming season.
GA: This collection focuses on what I love and what women have told me makes them feel beautiful. My dresses are classic, timeless and elegant, and inspired by Grace Kelly's style.

This season I have beautiful hand sewn appliqués on simple modern shapes and floral designs inspire my beading and fabric choices. These dresses embody gorgeous European imported hand painted florals on silk that are so light and pretty. I love to dress women demurely yet still allow for that sense of allure. I want women to feel beautiful every time they put on one of my dresses and take a step.
