Initiatives in Art and Culture Annual Fashion + Design Conference

Initiatives in Art + Culture (IAC) presented their 19th annual Fashion + Design Conference this past weekend titled, “WHITE: Palette, Prism, Possibility.”  This year’s conference examined white as the repository of hope and change through the work of contemporary designers of clothing and accessories and the materials with which they work.

Speakers included The Bridal Council’s Rachel Leonard, Darcy Miller (Martha Stewart Weddings), Mara J. Urshel (Kleinfeld’s), Charlie Scheips (Conde Nast Archives), Jason Wu, Gary Wassner (Hilldun Corp.), Zac Posen, Shinola (Jacques Panis), Robert Verdi, Daphne Guinness (Model & Collector), Shaun Leane (Jeweler), Ralph Rucci and many more. 

Discussions included topics like "Here Comes the Bride...: Imaging And Imagining the Bride,” "With this Ring...: The Changing Landscape of Commitment,” "Contra Mundum: Creativity and Collaboration” and many more.
